Cell Phone Policy

New Cell Phone Policy beginning SY22-23

Dear Student and Families,

As we look forward to the start of the 2022-2023 school year, we are implementing a new policy regarding cell phones.

Beginning this year, students bringing cell phones and similar electronic devices to school will be required to turn them over upon entry. Cell phones will be labeled and locked in a secure place while the student is in school. We are taking these steps in order to minimize distractions in our classrooms and throughout our school.

Our new Electronic Device Policy is detailed below. Please read this information carefully so you know, understand, and are prepared to follow this new policy on the first day of school. All students will be required to sign a copy of this policy.

All cell phones and other personal electronic devices, including but not limited to digital music players, hands-free devices, portable games, and touch screen devices are not permitted for use on school grounds.

All such devices will be collected upon entry, labeled and secured, and held until dismissal.

Students who violate this policy by bringing a device into a classroom or any other space within the school will be subject to disciplinary action.

Since the school will not be responsible for the loss of or any damage to these devices, it is our strong recommendation that they be left at home and not brought on campus!

As stated above, we have adopted this policy in order to minimize distractions to our learning environment, as well as to enhance the security of our campus. The safety and wellbeing of our students, faculty, and staff will always remain our top priority.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. Together, we will make this coming school year our most positive and successful one yet!
Very truly yours,
